NEX at anchor at the Canyon on 50 ft of water, 1.5 shots out. Nice weather today, light winds, Hot and sunny, clear skies, air temp 25C, there a swell coming from the SW of the island 3 ft.
Arrived last night to San Benedicto. There was Solmar V, Valentina, and Quino here at Anchor. Quino and Valentina moved to the Boiler this morning. Solmar V and us are at the Canyon. This morning arrived a small sailboat to anchor here as well.
Today we did check dive at Fondeadero, from the surface the water looks clear, could see the rocks at the bottom. Divers jumped from the platform, everyone checked their buoyancy, once they were ok they started diving.
It was a nice dive there was 1 manta, and some sharks. There is a moderate current from NE to SW. The viz is not so good at the bottom as there is swell lifting the sand. Temperature is 23C.
We did the second dive at the Canyon, what a great dive, they saw almost everything down there, 3 Mantas, Silkies, Galapagos, silvertips, a few hammerheads, and tiger shark. everyone was amazed and happy. Same water conditions, viz 20-25 mts, moderate current to SW and water temp 23C.
Planning to do 2 more dives here and finish the day with taco night. We will move to the Boiler tomorrow morning to dive there.
