Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2025-04-15

We just anchored at the Canyon. anchor sitting in 50ft of water I had to put 3 shot of chain, wind here is doing 24kts gusting to 27, NW, choppy seas not that big but yes it is choppy boat is sitting stable.

This morning we made two good dives at the BOILER, first dive had dolphins many of them. Guest enjoyed them a lot and they saved the dive as there wasn´t much else to see, second dive the mantas came in and interacted with the guests, some of the divers were also able to see some hammerheads and Galapagos but everything was deep they say the dolphins came around once more but everything was deep.

Group leader and I decided to make it around to the Canyon to have a better chance to see the sharks up close, also divers were having a hard time to get in and out of the skiff as the waves at the BOILER made it difficult for them.

Visibility averaged 60Ft but it was a bit milky, no current, water temperature is 74F today air is 77F. cloudy skies not much sun.
