Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-05-06

NEX at anchor in Roca Partida on 235ft depth, 5 shots out. Wind 10-14kts NW, Swell 2-4ft, Cloudy, Air temp 19C, Water temp 20C, Current from NW, Viz 20-25mts.

Yesterday, was incredible. The manta rays were incredible. The guests were fascinated by how friendly the manta rays were yesterday. The hammerheads also took center stage.

After finishing the dives, we went to the Canyon for a quiet dinner and then set sail for Roca Partida.

Today, on the first dive, about five white tips, four silver tips, and five chevron manta rays shared the dive with the guests; on the second dive, the mantas took center stage.

We’re about to do our third dive and then we’ll set sail for Cape Pearce.
