Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-05-07

NEX at anchor in Cabo Pearce on ft depth, 5 shots out. At anchor area Wind 8-10kts NW, Swell 1-2ft. At diving area Wind 12-16kts NW, swell 3-4ft, Cloudy, Air temp 19C, Water temp 22C, Current from NW, Viz 10-12mts.

Yesterday’s last dive was very beautiful, the manta rays and sharks were great. After the last dive, we raised anchor and headed to Cape Pearce.

Today, the first two dives didn’t have very good visibility, but it has improved a lot; a 7 or 8 school of hammerheads are around, also a couple shy dolphins.

We plan to do two more dives and, if we have time, go to the Navy inspection.
