NEX at anchor on 100 ft of water at Cabo Pearce Socorro Island, Wx: N´ly wind 12-15 kts, N seas 3 ft off the finger and calm in the bay. Partly cloudy sky, Air temp 21C. Water temp 22C.

We arrived last night to Cabo Pearce and dropped anchor in the bay. This morning a private yacht arrived, they did only one dive and then departed to the navy base.

We have done 2 dives this morning, first dive had good animal activity, a couple of mantas, a big school of bonitos, almost at the end of the dive, some dolphins showed by, but the viz wasnt that good 8-10 mts and a light current to NE.

For second dive things got better, 4-5 mantas swimming around at the same time, the same huge school of bonitos, a couple of hammerheads, 3 Galapagos, some silkies and whitetips. On the north side of the lava finger there was no current, but on the south side the current in north direction got stronger. viz got better a little bit 15 mts.

The highlight of the dive was that there was an underwater marriage proposal. The set was perfect, they were at the balcony, a couple of mantas were around and then one guest asked his girlfriend to marry him.

Once they were back on the boat he kneeled at the back deck with the island on the background and give her the ring, she says yes! Obviously. Everyone was super excited. Great day.

We are planning to do one more dive here, then move to the navy base for check in and will depart tonight to Roca Partida.
