Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-06-01

NEX at anchor at Roca Partida on 240 ft of water, 4 shots out, Wx: NW light winds, there is a crossed swell, one big swell long period from se SW and a N´ly 3-5 ft long swell. It is a nice day. Sky is clearing up, blue sky with some clouds, Air temp 23C, Water temp 22C.

Yesterday we did 3 dives at Cabo Pearce and then we proceeded to the navy base for check in. When we arrived to the navy base bay, Navy told us that they will not pass inspection and we can continue our schedule. We dropped anchor on the east bay next to the navy base for have dinner.

After dinner we started our way to Roca Partida. Arrived this morning to Roca Partida, winds were calm and there was only the swell which is not bad. The morning was cloudy but now clouds are going away leaving a blue sky.

2 dives so far this morning. They have been great, Mantas, Reef whitetips of all sizes, a huge school of yellowfin tunas, schools of different kind of jacks, a wall of them, and a lot of wahoos. The visibility is great 25+ mts and water temp 22C. There is a strong current from the NE.

We are having a great final day. We will do 2 more dives here and then will depart after dinner to Cabo San Lucas.
