Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2025-06-17

Good day! Nautilus Belle Amie reporting from southside of San Benedicto Island, at anchor with portside chain, 2 shot in the water, 50ft depth at Fondeadero.

We arrived at the island at 0600 hrs and started our diving operation at 0700 hrs. We had a very cloudy morning but now it’s a sunny day with just a couple of whites around, SE light winds 5-8 kts, long swell period from same direction 2-4 ft height, air temperature 25°C.

During the check dive everything went well, no guests’ issues, good performance. Vis is not the best, around 12 mts, they saw a couple of mantas and some hammerheads and silkies around.

During the second dive at the Cañon our divers could enjoy more shark interaction with silver tips, Galapagos, a couple of hammerheads and some silkies. There are a W current hitting the dive site, water temp is 23°C.

After the 4th dive and our taco night under the stars we are heading up to Roca Partida for our diving day tomorrow.
