Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-07-03

NEX at anchor in Cabo Pearce on 110ft depth, 3 shots out. Winds 10-14kts NW, Swell 1-3 ft, Partly cloudy day, Air temp 21C, Water temp 22C, Vis 10mts.

The last two dives yesterday were a bit dark and cold, but we did get close to a chevron manta ray and turtles. After the dive, we remained anchored until this morning when we moved to Cabo Pearce.

This morning’s first dive was a resounding success. Two chevron mantas approached during the dive, and a school of four or five huge hammerhead sharks began to approach from the bottom. Then, the four dolphins finished the dive and came to play with the divers. The divers came out very happy.

We plan to do two more dives in the afternoon. Tonight, we will dive at Cheese & Wine. We going to northbound Cabo San Lucas at midnight.
