Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-07-09

NEX at anchor in San Pedro Martir on 235ft depth, 4 shots out. Winds 6-7kts N, Swell 1-2 ft, Sunny day, Air temp 27C, Water temp 21C, Vis 7-10mts. Yesterday, the day ended up being peaceful. The sunset was spectacular, and many of the guests finished cocktail hour on the sundeck enjoying the view.

This morning, while heading to San Pedro Martir, very early, we came across a whale. We made every effort to get as close as possible, even though it wasn’t very playful, but they were able to see it. We then continued to San Pedro Martir, hoping to catch another whale.

We are currently anchored north of San Pedro Martir. We have already dived, and we are planning two more dives in the afternoon to round out the day. Some enjoy kayaking, others snorkelling, and diving.
