Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2025-08-05

NUS underway south bound to La Paz. Wind 6-9 kts NW, 2 ft Seas. Air Temp. 36 C, clear sky, sunny day.

We are currently underway to Cantamar Pichilingue, La Paz.

This morning, 0600 hrs we spotted a pod of pilot whales 15 nm off Mulege. We woke up all guests and have them ready to board the skiffs. Once we had the skiffs in the water we took guests for the pilot whales. They were like 40 min with them, everybody was able to see them, some super close. Everybody was happy for had a great morning start.

Pilot whales were heading SE fast, but we could get some of them. We are still looking out to find for any other animals. We are making good speed now as we have some current in our stern.

We have an ETA to Pichilingue at 0400 hrs for tomorrow, so we will have time to arrive to an island in Loreto to take guest for a beach walk and relax at the beach.

Yesterday at San Pedro we had nice dives in the north of San Padro, sea lions, octopus, nudis, black coral and lot of fishes. Everyone enjoyed. Right now guests are having lunch and they will watch the trip slideshow video after lunch.
