Good day everyone! NBA reporting from north side of Las Animas Island, at anchor with 3 shots in the water 140 ft depth, calm seas and no wind at all.
Last night we left San Francisco after our night dive that was pretty good, our divers came out from the water very happy with the nocturnal small sea life, they saw a baby octopus, sea hares and a sea horse, and lots of small reef colorful fish.
We arrived at Las Animas around 2330 hrs and spent a quiet night at anchor. Today it’s a sunny day with a 3/8 sky and 30°C temperature, the “Adventure” boat is sharing the island with us, and we started our dives in the 0800 hrs schedule.
During the first dive our divers could see some hammerheads passing by and they interacted with California sea lions during most part of the dive, in the second dive they couldn’t find them but they had a great time with the beautiful topography and lots of reef fish and schools of jacks.
The visibility is above the 30 mts and there are a light current from N to S, water temperature 28°C. The guests are doing well, and we are making the checkout between the dives to get all in line. The transfers are arranged already, and we will have the slide show during the cocktail hour tonight.
