NBA at anchor on Las Animas, on 170 ft depth, 3 shots out. Calm winds, 1-2 ft seas. Clear sky. Air temp 30C. Water temp 27C.
Arrived this morning to Las animas. We had a nice ride from Coronado Island, mostly calm seas. We have done 2 dives here in Las Animas, both of them in the Moro Norte. Today’s visibility hasn´t been the best, it is greenish on the surface but deep 25-30 mts it is better around 15 mts viz.
Today the mission was to find hammerheads, and we did it on the first dive, we saw a small school of 10 hammerheads, everyone came back to the boat happy. For some guests it was the first time to see hammerheads.
On second dive the current changed from West to east and visibility decreased a little. 10-15 mts viz. No hammerhead on this dive, but reef fishes and some sea lions.
Currently we are on third dive. Planning to do one more dive. We will depart tonight after dinner to la Reyna to do our last diving day there before start our way to Cabo San Lucas.
Yesterday we had good afternoon dives in Coronado Island with some playful sea lions.
