Good day everyone, Nautilus Bellamie reporting from east of Roca Partida, with 4 shots in the water off the starboard side anchor, at a depth of 230 feet.
We arrived at the rock at 0630 hrs and began operations at 0800 hrs, just after Undersea Hunter, who is accompanying us on the dives.
Winds from the NW at approximately 8-12 knots and a large, long swell from the same direction. The period is prolonged, making the operation at the stern easier for loading and unloading our guests. The ambient temperature is 26°C and the water temperature is around 24°C. Visibility is approximately 40-50 meters, great for the dives.
During the first two dives of the day, the divers had a great interaction with the abundance of marine life around the rock. Today’s diving is very good. Manta, Galapagos sharks, silver tips, white tips, even some dolphins, and a large bait ball full of tunas haunting put on a show for our divers during the morning.
Some of them were lucky enough to see the whale shark around the rock, but it stays very deep. It is the same one we saw on the last trip, a fantastic creature. We hope all of them can see it during the next two dives.
The clients are doing very well, happy and very enthusiastic. Almost no one misses the dives. After lunch, we will continue with the diving operation, and after dinner, we will depart for Socorro Island.
