Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2025-11-19

NGL Anchored at Cabo Tosco, South of Margarita Island, the sky is completely overcast with occasional rain, air temperature 20°C, NW wind of 12 knots and long-period southerly waves of 4 ft.

Today’s plan was to dive and snorkel around Cabo Tosco. The first dive was on the Independence; we talked about the history of this shipwreck in the briefing. Conditions: visibility 10 meters, temperature 23°C, no current. Marine life observed by the divers: sea lions, octopuses, lobsters, king angelfish, garibaldis, sergeant majors, groupers, snappers.

Second dive at a sea lion colony; conditions worsened, visibility 6 meters, water temperature 23°C and moderate current to the south. They saw many sea lions, lobsters, and Octopuses. The snorkeling group had a blast with hundreds of juvenile sea lions.

Everyone’s happy today.

Departure today from Cabo Tosco to Cabo San Lucas at 4:00 PM with an ETA tomorrow, November 20th, at 7:30 AM in Cabo San Lucas Bay.
