Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2025-11-22

NEX at anchor in Fondeadero, San Benedicto, at 59 ft, 3 shots out, Cloudy and Windy day, Air temp 26 C, Wind NW 8-11 kts and sea state 2-3 ft. Water temp. 26 C, Visibility 8-10 mts.

Yesterday, the last two dives were full of Mantas and Dolphins, and there was a large school of bonito fish. After the dives, we anchored at Fondeadero, where we spent the night. Taco Night was delicious, and everyone went back for seconds and thirds.

Today we started diving in the Canyon. Visibility was poor, but it improved after 10 meters depth. However, we saw a school of very large and curious hammerheads that approached the cleaning station, not to mention the Galapagos sharks, whitetip sharks, and silvertip sharks.

That’s how the first two dives went. We have two more dives planned for this afternoon, which will be part of the schedule sent to us by CONANP. It is Lava Flow, and after finishing operations, we will go to Cape Pearce.

Crew and guests are doing well.
