NEX at anchor in Punta Tosca, Socorro, at 144 ft, 3.5 shots out, Sunny day, Air temp 27 C, Wind N 11-14 kts and sea state 2-3 ft. Water temp. 23 C, Visibility 5 mts.
Yesterday visibility wasn’t the best, so after finishing the third dive, I changed the plan and we went to do the inspection with the Socorro Naval Base, hoping that today visibility would improve and we could do more quality dives.
After the inspection we moved to Punta Tosca and spent the night there. Today the visibility was good, we did two dives at Old Man of the Rock.
It was very beautiful, the reef is full of life, lots of reef fish and an overwhelming number of bicolor parrotfish. A manta ray was very curious about the divers, there was a school of juvenile silvertip sharks scattered throughout the dive area, and the dolphins arrived at the safety stop very playful, jumping everywhere.
Today we have two more dives planned at Punta Tosca. After dinner, we will set sail for Roca Partida. The weather looks good for tomorrow.
Crew and guests are doing well.
