Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2025-12-12

NBA at anchor in Cabo Pearce, Socorro Island, on 105 ft of water 2 shots out. Weather, Clear sky some low clouds 4/8, NE’ly winds 10-15 kts, 2 ft seas in the bay, 2-3 ft seas off the point. Air temperature 27C, Water temp 27C.

Arrived last night to Cabo Pearce after the navy inspection. Navy inspection was carried out without any issue.

This morning, we have done 2 dives at Cabo Pearce, in both dive current has been strong from South to North and the viz hasn’t been the best, around 12-15 mts. But Animal action has been good.

On first dive it was full of reef fishes, like clarion angel fish, some cleaner fish, 2 Mantas, and some divers saw like 5 hammerheads and a couple of octopus. A few dolphins showed up at the end of the dive but only we could saw them from the surface.

The second dive was great for some groups as they saw again like 7 hammerheads, 3 Mantas one other them black manta, More reef fishes, and more octopus. One of the mantas stayed with one of the groups for almost the whole dive until the safety stop.

We will do 2 more dives here and then we will depart to El Boiler to dive there tomorrow.
