Anchor in 120Ft of water, is an amazing day to be out here, clear skies, 8kts NW winds, air temperature is 80F, water today is 78F, moderate current running to the north, visibility averages 70Ft.
This morning we did our check dive in Leather Bass Alley but no leather bass, or at least is what the guests say, I don’t think they were really looking as they were busy with the dolphins, mantas and the hammerhead sharks, also the white tip reef sharks and some Galapagos, they came up cheering and very happy to be here in new year having such a great dive.
Then we moved to the Boiler and the second dive was really nice as Pablo our DG says he saw at least 7 different Mantas, some of the guests also saw hammers, more Galapagos, the silkies, and Sue had a great time with an octopus, she explained to me how the octopus wanted to grab her hand and that interaction made her happy.
We done only two dives and now the guests think it was worth to come all the way from Europe….. the sea is almost flat on this side of the island.
This morning at the Canyon and because the waves and swell was coming from the SE the boat was constantly rocking and rolling, but now we are here nice and calm and having great dives, a really good way to start a new year.
Guests and crew doing well
