Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2026-01-02

Today NBA at anchor at San Benedicto Island Fodeadero on 60 ft of water, 2 shots out. Here feels Light NNW winds 8-10 kts but around the corner to the West side there are white caps. Almost flat seas with 2 ft swell from the west. Air temp 26C. Water temp 27C. Partial cloudy sky.

We arrived this morning to San Benedicto, NUS was already here, Valentina arrived later. We did first dive in Fondeadero, jumped from the back deck. Some guests took their time to check their weights and to go down, some others guests didn’t need extra weight.

It was a great checkout dive, there were 2 mantas some silkies, reef whitetips and the best was a pod of dolphins that were swimming around the divers. They liked and it was just the first dive.

Second dive was on the Canyon. It was an amazing dive and best dive ever were some words from divers. 3-4 Mantas, 2 of them chasing each other, lot of sharks, some divers saw a big school of hammerheads, some divers saw individual hammerhead passing close, Galapagos, silvertips, silkies, one group said they think they saw a tiger shark but they are not 100% sure.

Viz was good 18-20 mts, light current from East to West and water temp 27C.

We are going to do 2 more dives here and we will have taco night. We will depart to Roca Partida after dinner.
