Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2026-01-24

NEX at anchor in Boiler, San Benedicto Island, cloudy weather conditions today, NW 8-10 kts winds, 3-4 ft waves, partly cloudy day, air temperature 25C.

Hello everyone.

Yesterday, during the day, the guests organized their dive gear. Some then enjoyed the weather, while others took the opportunity to relax. In the afternoon, they enjoyed a marine life presentation. Then, at midnight, we arrived at the anchorage.

This morning, we did the dive check. Most of them are experienced divers and have been on many trips, although we have one guest who is a little nervous, but the DGs are being very patient with her so that she feels comfortable diving.

Afterward, we lift anchor up and moved to the Boiler. We had another spectacular dive, with at least six mantas, a small school of 3 hammerhead sharks, and a giant tuna, a huge Galapagos and school of silvertips sharks.

We plan to do two more dives and then move back to the Fondeadero.

Crew and guests doing fine.
