Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2026-02-02

NEX at anchor in Roca Partida, nice weather conditions today, sunny day, air temperature 29C, NE 9-12 kts winds, 3-4ft waves. Water condition, water temp. around 27C, visibility 20-22 mts.

Hello, yesterday at Boiler, the dives in the afternoon were incredible. There were so many mantas, and the hammerhead sharks reappeared. The sunset was beautiful, and everyone took pictures.

For dinner, the street taco night, with the full moon and a beer bucket, was a fantastic combination. After dinner, we lifted anchor and began our journey to Roca Partida.

Today, a sunrise with that brilliant blue of Roca Partida gave us two spectacular dives. We saw about eight manta rays, some chevron-shaped and some black, dancing among the divers. Then, a whale shark appeared, leaving the divers speechless.

We have two more dives planned for the afternoon, and then we’ll set sail for Punta Tosca.
