Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2026-02-05

NEX at anchor in Canyon, San Benedicto, at 47ft, 2 shots out, today’s weather conditions were nice, sunny day.

During the last dive, a fin whale with her calf arrived at the dive site and continued into the bay. Some divers were already out of the water and saw her from the surface, while others were on their safety stop and saw her pass by. She was accompanied by three dolphins that were playing with her. She came within a few meters of the skiff, giving them a chance to take pictures.

Everyone returned very happy.

After securing everything, we raised anchor and began the journey to the Canyon, San Benedicto. We arrived and dropped anchor to finish the night and enjoy a peaceful rest.

This morning, the canyon revealed its beauty to the divers, a good number of whitetip, silvertip, hammerhead, and Galapagos sharks.

The crew is working well, and the guests are happy with the dives.
