Captain’s Noon Reports – Explorer – 2026-02-18

We have bad weather outside the bay wind blowing from N 14-16 kts, sea state 4-6 ft. cloudy day with (6/8 St CiSt), air temp. 23 C, inside the bay the sea state 1 ft.

NEX in Cabo Pearce at anchor with 3.5 shots out.

The first dive was good, conditions into the water visibility 14-16 mtrs, temp. 24 Celsius, with a little current from south to north, our guests saw one manta, some hammerheads, white tips, lobster, a lot of reef fish, and some guests saw dolphins.

The second dive was much better, condition into the water visibility 18-20 mtrs, temp 24 Celsius, stop the current, our guests saw mantas (four chevron and one black), small school of hammerheads, white tips, silver tips, jacks and many reef fish.

We are sharing a dive site with Valentina and the Seahawk sailboat is arriving.

Yesterday our last dives in El Cañon was good (good visibility 14-16 mtrs) our guests saw hammerheads, Galapagos, silver tips, white tips.

After dinner we’ll go to Punta Tosca, crew working fine.

No problems with guests, our guests continue to have a good attitude and are excited about the dives
