Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2026-02-19

Weather: Sunny and windy day, seas of 4-6 ft from the N lot of white caps, wind from the N sustained of 15-17 kts and gusts of 20 kts, air temp 23°C. 

At anchor in Cabo Pearce, anchor resting on 96 ft with 2 shots in the water.

First dive was pretty good, guests could see mantas, just one playful dolphin and some hammerheads. Conditions were; water temp 24°c, visibility 20-25, current to the NE.

Second dive was pretty much better, they could interact with 3 mantas on the safety stop doing some backflips and circling around them, some more hammerheads, white tips and silver tip sharks, conditions were; water temp 24°c, viz 25 m, strong current to the E.

Yesterday on the last two dives guests could see a whale shark on El Cañon it was really beautiful, people love that, then we start sailing from San Benedicto to Socorro after taco night, which, as always, is a complete success, people love taco nights.

Arriving to Cabo Pearce at midnight and a private sailing yacht was here at anchor.

Today we are going to do 2 more dives, the plan for tomorrow is go to Punta Tosca, do 2 dives there, one on the explorative dive site El Acuario and then the navy inspection.

No problems, everything is going well.
