NGL at Agua Verde Area on the way to San Francisco Island.
Yesterday was a good day in Agua Verde and San Cosme Area. We spotted humpbacks and blue whales, as well as bottlenose dolphins and mobulas. The highlight was a couple of juveniles putting on a show for us for over 2 hours; it was a magical moment for guests and crew.
Late in the afternoon, some guests went for a walk on the beach, some did snorkeling, and some stayed on board working on their photos. Our staff and RHIB took care of all of them.
At 1800hs, we shared the Cheese and Wine on board, as some guests chose not to go to the beach. We had a really nice chat/presentation on humpback whales. Then we had dinner and spent the night on the hook at Agua Verde Bay.
This morning, after we heaved anchor, a thick fog surrounded us; it is just now dissipating. So far, we have spotted common and bottlenose dolphins, and Blue and Humpback Whales. The highlight was a family of 3 Blue whales and a juvenile humpback whale at the same time.
Guests are having lunch while whale watching. The Lunar eclipse, the fog, the flat seas, and the marine life just made up a unique day to remember.
In the late afternoon, we plan to anchor at San Francisco Beach on San Francisco Island to enjoy the cocktail hour and dinner on the hook.
