Weather: Sunny day, 3/8 sky. NW wind 4-5 kts, long period swell 3-4 ft. Water temp 24C.
NUS at anchor in Roca Partida 230 ft of water and 4 shots into the water.
First dive was good, they saw 2 mantas and dolphins, yellow fin tunas and silvertip sharks. Conditions were; water temp 24°C, viz 35-40 mts, current to the W.
Second dive was good too, they saw more mantas and dolphins and at the end of the second dive a humpback whale passed close to one of the groups while they were making the safety stop, but unfortunately, they didn’t manage to see it.
Guides reported some strange behavior on mantas and dolphins, observing that the highest concentration of animals was at the north and south ends of the rock, watching the manta rays and dolphins going up and down as if they were sliding down a toboggan.
Yesterday i did a presentation about distances and navigation from Cabo to the archipelago and some of the nav aids that we have on board. Tomorrow is the sailing day back to Cabo.
