Weather: At The Canyon San Benedicto Island, Cloudy sky, Light North winds Seas 2 ft from the west, air temp 23°C. Water temp 22-23C, Water Viz 10-12 mts
We arrived last night to San Benedicto and dropped anchor at El Fondeadero to do the check dive there today. We did the check dive there, divers jumped from the dive platform, they did the weight check and started diving. All the divers were good with their weight.
Guests had a great check dive as they saw one chevron manta, a couple of hammerheads, silkies and reef white tips. Second dive we dove the Canyon, great dive, big school of hammerheads on the cleaning stations, Galapagos sharks, silvertips silkies and reef white tips. There was on manta but passing shallow. It was a great dive for all.
There is a mid-strong current from East to West, the visibility is not so good, like 12 mts and there is a thermocline that drops the temperature to 22C.
We will do 2 more dives here at the Canyon and tonight we will depart to Cabo Pearce to dive there tomorrow.
