NEX in Socorro, sailing to Bahia Vargas Lozano.
Hello everyone, yesterday afternoon, during the third and fourth dives, a humpback whale surfaced to breach off the starboard side. It was a bit out of the way, but we could see every jump.
The dives continued wonderfully, the dolphins had already left, but the manta rays were still dancing, and the whitetip and silvertip reef sharks could be seen resting on the balconies. After completing our operations, we set sail for Socorro.
This morning, we arrived at Cape Henslow, which turned out to be a surprisingly calm dive, with only a few silvertip reef sharks. We then moved to Punta Tosca, where we encountered a young, not very large, tiger shark accompanied by a couple of hammerhead sharks and two chevron manta rays, which were a highlight of the day. We are currently on our way to the Navy inspection station and will then spend the night at Cape Pearce.
