Captain’s Noon Reports – Belle Amie – 2026-03-12

Weather: Sunny day, mostly clear sky, some clouds 3/8, NNW wind 10-14 kts. Seas 3-6 ft wind seas from NNW, and a S´ly 6-7 ft long swell, air temp 24°C. Water temp 24C. Water viz 30+ mts

Today at Roca Partida anchored on 240 ft of water with 4 shots out of starboard anchor. Arrived this morning to Roca, weather was much better than the forecasted. The ride from Socorro was not bad, some occasional big swell but good in general.

This morning, we have done 2 dives, which has been amazing, best dives so far.

First dive was full of mantas and dolphins, they were the main attraction of the show, Mantas getting super close to divers and dolphins as well, there were sharks and reef fishes, but no one were paying attention to them. The water viz is super clear, they can see the bottom of the rock. There is a very light current from South to North.

Second dive was as good as the first one but this time no dolphins, but a super playful mantas, they were like 6-7 mantas. School of big yellowfin tunas, bonitos, big eye jacks and many other reef fishes and the locals reef white tip sharks.

We will do 2 more dives here and tonight will depart to the Boiler for the last day of the trip.

Yesterday afternoon at Socorro we dove the Acuario, the viz there was great much way better than Punta Tosca. We did one dive there and then we moved to navy base for check in.

After finishing the inspection, I asked permission to stay at anchor there until we departed to Roca.

Everyone is super happy.
