Captain’s Noon Reports – Gallant Lady – 2026-03-30

Weather: Sunny day, a bit hazy, no clouds. Air temp 28C, Wind, this morning was calm, now wind is 8-10 kts SE. Seas was flat and calm this morning, now we have 2 ft SE seas.

We are NW of San Jose and San Diego Island,

This morning, we started around Agua Verde and San Cosme area, seas were flat and perfect to find something but it is really quiet. We only found 3 sea lions that were playing.

Then we move to Southwest of San Marcial point and we found a large pod of dolphins that were swimming fast to south. When we had like 5 mins with the dolphins a humpback whale showed up closely, we took guest to the RHIB, they watched the whale close but they wanted to go for the dolphins.

They were with dolphins for a while, meanwhile we started move south. There was more activity near San Jose Island. We found a couple of humpback whales 20 min ago swimming fast southbound, we watched them for a while but they are not very cooperative.

Yesterday afternoon was quite as well. We took guests to the beach for snorkeling and kayaking, they had fun. We had cheese and wine and ended the day with taco night.
