Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2026-04-04

Weather: anchored in 55ft of water, we are in Vargas Lozano Bay in Socorro Island, Navy Base, we are doing the routine inspection. Inside this bay weather is very nice flat seas no wind, air temperature is 78F cloudy skies.

Our morning dives were done in Cabo Pearce, both dives good visibility averaging 60ft of water no current in first dive then moderate current running south in second dive. Water temperature is 76F.

One group got lucky and as soon as they dopped in the water the dolphins came and interacted for at least 10 minutes they say. No mantas in first dive, three mantas in second dive.

One of the groups saw a small school of juvenile silver tip sharks, some others saw couple of hammerheads, one group had a huge tiger shark cruising by, Imanol says this tiger could be 5 plus meters.

Guests and crew doing good.
