Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2026-04-19

Weather: Partly sunny sky, scattered clouds. Wind WNW 10-13 kts, Seas 2 ft from West. Air temp 24C, Water temp 25C  

Arrived this morning to San Benedicto and dropped anchor at Fondeadero and we did the check dive there jumping off the platform. There was a mild current to SW,

It was a nice check dive, there were a couple of mantas, lobsters, reef white tip sharks and reef fishes.

Second dive was at the Canyon and it was great, viz was not so good, like 10 mts, but animals were amazing, 3 Mantas, 2 chevron and 1 black, playing and passing close to divers, a school of 10 hammerheads on the cleaning station, Galapagos sharks, silvertips and silkies as well and we got like 8 dolphins that get close it was a good dive.

There was a surface current to SW and water temp 25C.

We will do 2 more dives here and we will depart to Roca Partida tonight after dinner.
