Captain’s Noon Reports – Under Sea – 2026-04-23

Weather: Partly cloudy sky, Wind NW 10-12 kts, 3-4 ft seas and 6 ft NW swell. Air temp 25C, Water temp 24-25C. Water viz 8-10 mts.

Today at anchor on the Boiler on 110 ft of water with 2 shots out. We moved the NUS this morning from the Canyon to the Boiler. It was a cloudy morning, now we are having some patches of blue sky.

We have done 2 morning and amazing dives. First dive was great, good viz, about 20 mts, and light current to the north. At least 5 mantas some of them giving a good show, there were some dolphins but not all divers were able to see them. Some big Galapagos sharks and some hammerheads. Everyone came back to the boat super happy.

Second dive was great dive because of the animals, but the viz was bad, it dropped to 5-8 mts and the current gone. But the animals great, more of the same as the first dive but some divers were able to see a whale shark, it was a juvenile whale shark around 4 mts length. Those divers were super happy and the ones that could not see it are waiting to be back in the water to have chances to see it.

We will do 2 more dives here to finish the trip and we will have cheese and wine before dinner. We will depart tonight back to Cabo San Lucas after a great week.

Yesterday afternoon the Canyon was great, a lot of sharks swimming close, the water conditions improved as the viz got better, everyone had a great day.
