The last diving day of the trip we spend at Roca Partida. We went out with a bang. What a day we had. On the first dive of the day we had so many sharks. Lots of Silver tips and big Galapagos. And of course we saw a lot of White tips too. We also had some great Manta action on the first two dives. On the third dive we had a big surpize, a Whaleshark!!! All of the groups were able to see it. And to top it of we had some Hammerhead sharks on the last dive. Overall an amazing day of diving.

The second day we had the whole pod joining us for the whole first dive, they were around twenty five and they stayed during the whole day. Also we had a lot of Mantas, Black and Chevron. To top it of we had Silvertips, Oceanic Black tip and even a Tiger shark.

Marine life was really vast, hammerheads, silvertips, Galapagos sharks and well the beautiful, graceful and amazing mantas, this trip we had one of the most important researchers about mantas around the world and he identify just this trip around 29 different mantas!!

Roca Partida on the fourth day of diving. The water temperature was 24C/75F and visibility around 30m/100ft. We saw some Galapagos, Silver tips and white tips sharks. A small school of hammerheads at distance. Close to the rock a big yellow fin tuna hunting gave us a great show.

We did four dives today, two in Fondeadero and the afternoon dives were at “El Cañón”. We saw mantas, hammerheads, Galapagos, Silver tip sharks and as usual, White tip sharks! On the first dive one of the groups saw a group of dolphins too! Tonight taco night!!

All of a sudden I saw a hammerhead closing in on us and then it took of into the blue. When we went towards the blue we could see the whole school swimming closer to us. They swam so slow and close to us it was unreal. More than 100 Hammerhead sharks. Amazing. I had never seen so many together.

The Nautilus fleet’s “Silky Snorkel” is always a highlight for many guests on our trips. Often the Silky sharks will come to within arms reach or even closer and can be all around you. Tonight was no exception with constant interactions with around 6 sharks but as many as 10-12 at some points! Also you get a nice Hot chocolate with Baileys to warm you up afterwards if you are brave enough to get in the water!!!
