Start with the good news, conditions at Socorro Island, although a little windy 10-15 N are very diveable. Swell is quite small 3-5′ with a 1’chop, skies are sunny with a few clouds, water temp is still warm 25C and vis is good 80 – 100′ or 30 m. The rest of the news is excellent, mother and calf (humpback)showed up during the first dive and have been hanging out around the island as they have for the past two trips. Think we got everyone in for a snorkel with them between dives and then on dive two a 1/2 dozen had the mom and calf do a very slow drive by. So after a slow start the first two days, the action button has definitely been turned up.

Incredible diving! Silvertip, hammerheads, dolphins, whale with calf and some ignored Mantas in ONE DIVE. I love Roca Partida!

Roca Partida oder einfacher gesagt, das Taucherparadies. Hier ein kurzer Ausschnitt: Erster TG: Delphine wo man hin sieht, sie versuchen uns in die Tiefe zu locken und werden des spielens nicht muede. Waehrend der Oberflaechenpause kaum Zeit zum Fruehstueck da Mama Buckelwal u. Kind Showspringen und Flukenklatschen um die Wette machen. Naechster TG: Wieder die Delphine, Galapagoshaie, Weissspitzen u. Hammerhaie, ach ja und Mantas, kurz vor Ende schwimmt mir beim Filmen eines Delphins das Walbaby vor die Linse. Und so geht es den ganzen Tag, zwischendrin schnorcheln mit Mama Wal u. Baby u. Delphinen. Es ist unbeschreiblich schoen, das muss der Taucherhimmel sein!

Ich habe heute die mutter Buckelwhale sehr nah uber den Kopf gehabt. Weiter nog begleitet duch delfinen. Besser kann es nicht werden.

Schnorcheln mit Buckelwalen ist schon der Hammer , Tauchen mit Buckelwalen so wie heute bei 2 TG ist noch mal ganz was anderes einfach ein Traum, ein unbeschreibliches Erlebnis

The best dive of my live….mehr ist nicht zu sagen. HH-Juergen (Danke den Dive Guide Joel) Das war definitiv der beste Tauchtag meines Lebens!!! Einfach unglaublich, was wir heute erlebt haben.

Ok this is cheese but is the first time I say this, today I had the best dive of my life!! And it will be hard to beat, Roca had all the average things to offer ( silky sharks, Galapagos, silver tips all the many reef white tips, hammerheads and mantas, towards the end of the second dive boom Humback whale and calf just resting in 45 ft of water eye to eye with the mom for at least 5 min, it felt like 3 hrs it was just so natural and peacefull she wasnt bother or stressed, calf went up to catch some air twice and then they just gently move on, on top of all that there were 7 dolphins at least going around and around the Whales!! Speechless after that dive!! All I could think of was my wife and my daughter, thats the only thing I can compare this dive to, the Love of my wife (Maggie) to my daughter (Alaska).
