Wow.
What a month!
I am on my way home after an incredible great white shark-filled month of back to back trips to Isla Guadalupe, and as I soar 30,000 feet above the earth, one thought is foremost in my mind: what a great job I have.
I think we can all attest to the fact that often it’s the people you work with that make the job enjoyable, and I am truly fortunate to work with what is beyond a doubt the best shipboard crew and office support staff a captain could ask for.
I love these people like family.
We all share the same dream of being a part of the best live-aboard dive boats in the world, and a passion for the oceans and sea life that are the core of what we do.
There’s something magical about being around people who love what they do. It’s infectious. It’s inspiring. Every day our guests pull me aside to tell me that I have a great crew, that I have a hardworking crew, and that my crew are just plain amazing. I couldn’t agree more.
And you should all know that none of what we do would possible without the tireless efforts of our fabulous support staff. They are a true pleasure to work with. Always cheerful, dedicated, and committed more than any of us to the vision we share of the best live aboard dive boat experience out there.
Did I mention I also spent the last month getting up close and personal with great white sharks? Lots of frisky and friendly great whites, terrifying and awe-inspiring at the same time.
And did I mention that this time of year I get to sail to Guadalupe Island, one of the gems of the Pacific Ocean?
And that I get to do it onboard the most beautiful dive boat out there?
And did I mention our awesome guests? I might be biased, but I think divers are the best of people. We come from all walks of life, from all corners of the world, and we all share the same passion.
Did I mention I love my job?
Looking forward to my return in one month’s time..
See you out there!
