Having been absolutely petrified arriving at the dock in Ensenada, and witnessing for the first time the Nautilus Explorer and those HUGE cages on the back of the boat, I can honestly say at that point, I wondered if I would be able to do this trip. My first thought was, “If those are the size of the cages, can you imagine the size of the great white sharks?” and I can honestly say, we were not disappointed. After meeting the crew, I felt a great reassurance that we were not only in safe hands but we were going to have a great time too.
Day 1 – We were the second dive of the day, I was about ready to take the gear off and back out, but with a little persuasion, I was in before I knew it. Seeing a Great white Shark for the first time was absolutely mesmerizing and I instantly knew this was one of the most amazing experiences I will ever encounter.
I have a new found love and respect for these beautiful animals. Throughout the rest of the dives I cannot explain the interest the animals had in us, coming right up to the cage and having a look. It was incredible!
The crew, the fellow passengers… Everyone has been amazing. I would not change a thing. Thank you all for making this an experience of a life time.
