Captains Noon Report – Explorer – 2018-05-08

Location: 18-46.6’N 111-02.9’W
Status: 80 Ft. vis
Weather: 24 c Winds light and variable Seas Calm Swell NW 1-2 ft

Last night we transited from Roca Partida to Roca O’Neal. Calm flat seas, easy ride. First dive at Roca had a lot of current running to the north. 80 ft vis, and 24C temp. Groups saw one manta, but the current was so strong they couldn’t stay with the manta. Mayos group saw some dolphins. Several of the dive groups ended up rather far from the dive site so they used their Nautilus lifelines in conjunction with their SMB. We left Roca O’Neal for Punta Tosca for dive 2. Yann says this was his best dive at Punta Tosca. We had one playful manta, she was also very pregnant. Saw some silky sharks, and white tips. The vis was 80ft, tmp 24C, and no current. All guests are happy.
