Captain’s Noon Report- Explorer – 2018-06-03

Location:Roca Partida
Weather:Winds NNE 5 Swell N 3-5 Hazy Sunshine Water Temp 74 – 76 Vis – 100 plus

No wind today. Have a little swell at Roca. First dive had a lot of sharks with hardly any current. Galapagos and Silver Tips were on the north tip of Roca with all the Creole fish. Silkies patrolled the outer edges of the dive site. Big schools of jacks hung off the rock in the mild current. The second dive had a stronger current which brought big schools of tuna and sharks started to move around more. Some hammerheads were seen on the south while more Galapagos and silkies came in view. One manta greeted us and swam around for most of the dive. At the end of the dive we had a large school of Bonito off to the south with 15 silkies circled around them. Our group did their safety stop watching the sharks.
