Captains Noon Report – Explorer – 2018-08-04

Location: Monkey Face East Guadalupe Island
Weather: Nice hazy sunny day. Calm Air temp 74F water temp 70 -72F

Our first shark appeared at 0644 coming from the deep to make a pass at our floating bait. We had several guests already in the cages and several just relaxing on the back deck. The guests had their first glimpse of the medium sized shark. The excitement of everyone onboard immediately went into overdrive. We had a female that streaked across the cage coming in very close and everyone got a good look at her. She is about 10 feet long. Other smaller sharks stayed a distance from her while making passes by the cages. The action has been steady for awhile and the guests are hooked on the sharky experience. IT’s turning out to be a beautiful day here again, no doubt this will be a memorable trip for everyone on the Explorer.
