We had a another misty morning. The surfaces of the boat were covered in the dew that cascaded down the mountain side. The air is crisp and refreshing. Last day of the charter, hopes are high for the sharks to come around. The water is calm around the boat and the slightest of rocking is moving the boat side to side. Sharks started coming around just past 7 am and they have been coming hard at the bait. Two males have been coming from all angles in hopes of taking the bait. They have been winning. The early morning light is perfect for ambush predators. They are hard to see until the last minute when it is too late. The sharks keep finding inventive ways of sneaking up on the seasoned wranglers. We have had several breaches by the sharks today. They are going full throttle from down deep and launching out of the water. It’s been a challenge for our perched shark cowboys to keep the bait on the line today.
