Captains Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2018-09-03

Location: Anchored in 250′ of water south of Monkey face at Guadalupe Island

After an early morning marine layer dissipated we have sunny skies, and calm wind and seas. Visibility was excellent early this morning then dropped to less than 30′ but in the last 30 minutes it has been steadily improving and it appears that it will be excellent shortly. The action was great all afternoon with perfect surface conditions and great visibility. Last night’s Shark ID produced positive IDs on Andy, Rhett, Sad Face, Kenric, Luca Arwoni, and Mike. We often had 4-5 sharks in sight at one time. Today was great to begin with, with plenty of sharks. The decrease in visibility slowed things down, but it looks like the sharks are still here.
