Captains Noon Report – Belle Amie – 2018-09-07

Location: Anchored at Monkey Face in 250′ of water at Guadalupe Island

Another sunny, beautiful day. The wind swell is wrapping around the island today making the surface cages a bit more lively, but the visibility is excellent and the water temp is still around 70 degrees. Yesterday the action continued right to the end of the dive day. And we were able to identify: Kenric, Mike, Rhett, Mickey and the Joker during shark ID last night. Everyone enjoyed the taco fiesta on the top deck and many stayed up late enjoying a starry night and a few beverages. Today the action is much slower. There have been sharks around all morning, but they are just lazily swimming around, rarely interested in the bait even with tuna heads in the water. So far probably only 3-4 sharks are near the boat.
All is good today.
