Captains Noon Report – Explorer – 2018-09-08

Location:29-07.6’N 118-17.0’W
Weather: Winds light and variable, seas calm, swell N 1-2 ft

This morning started off a little slow. We had a strong current out of the south that seemed to be keeping the sharks away. Around 930 the current died down, and the sharks came in quickly. Since then we have had 3 very active juvenile sharks swimming around the cages and coming after the bait. It has been non stop action since 0930. This morning while things were warming up, we had one turtle swim by the cages. I am happy to report that the turtle made it away from us safely. Visibility is 100+ ft, and water is 19c. The sun is out, and everyone is having wonderful time.
