Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2018-10-23

Location: 4 Cables South of Monkey Face East Guadalupe Island
Weather: Winds NW 5 Swell 1-2 NNE Air Temp 76F Water Temp 70F Vis 100
Status:

The action has been non-stop since 0930 this morning. I have been on the wrangling platform for the last 90 minutes dancing with two large females and a few males going at the baits constantly. There have been up to five sharks at once and we have a large female that was with us last week. Mirko ID’ed her as Donna. The tuna showed up around 0800 in big numbers and big sizes. The sun is out and nice and tropical today. SO many sharks and so little time to be on the bridge to write because the action is constant behind and below the boat.
