Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2018-11-09

Location: Sweet Spot East Guadalupe Island
Weather: Air Temp 75F Water Temp 68F Wind Light Swell Calm Vis 100 plus

The visibility has gotten back to normal at 100 plus feet. The water temp is still cooler then it has been the rest of the season. Sharks have been minimal. They seem to be deeper and not coming up as much. We had Lucy in the morning come up a few times and last around the cages for a few hours. Another two sharks showed up as well but came around the baits a few times then left. We had a small shark come in for the last hour or so at the surface and take a few baits. I would imagine that the water temp is keeping the sharks deeper and we are doing our best to keep the baits fresh and looking tempting to eat. The sun is out and is a beautiful day.
