Nice crossing for Guadalupe last night. The moon was out and there was some lingering clouds after sunset. The clouds were lit up by the moon and the sea reflected the moon. Great start to our day this morning. We had two pods of dolphins and one humpback whale pouting in front of the boat and most of the guests were able to see it’s fluke after it took a couple of breaths at the surface. They are starting to come down to Socorro!!! We did our first dive just to the east of Roca Montana in two small bays with a colony of sea lions eagerly swimming around the rocks. The guests were able to interact with the pups and after the dive we took the dinghies out so guests could take top side pictures of the sea lions on the rocks. We found a little cove that harbored a massive elephant seal male with all of his female’s laying next to him. The sea lions were barking and all the guests were having fun emulating the bark of the sea lions. We are going to dive Roca Montana now all the guests have sorted out their diving then head over to the south east tip of San Benitos for our last dive. guests are good/ crew good. All is good!
