Wow what an amazing 24 hours. Yesterday afternoon we arrived to San Benedicto and dove Las Cuevitas. It was incredible. We had a manta and sea turtle in the cave, and of course copious white tips. Then we came to the canyon for a night dive. Richard says it was the best night dive he has ever done. The water was crystal clear, there were silky sharks all around. Down on the canyon floor we saw a sting ray and some lobsters. What a dive!! We dove this morning at the canyon and it has been amazing. On the first dive there were 3 mantas. Then as they swam past the receptor buoy, Sergio and his group saw a school of 40+ hammerhead sharks. Quite the surprise! On dive 2 there were several more mantas and some silver tips. Wonderful day here so far. Can’t wait to see what else is to come.
