Captains Noon Report – Explorer – 2019-02-08

Winds Early morning NNW 10-14 tapering off to 6-10 presently Swell Early Morning NW 5-7ft tapering off to 3-5ft presently Current Strong SW Last day of diving and made it to the rock. It is turning out to be a nice day. Little choppy this morning but dying down to a slow roll. Guests are happy to make it out. We are all alone here which is really nice because there were five boats at the Canyon, us included, when we left last night. First Dive – Current made the white tips dance and bringing them into the blue. Guests were happy to see the numbers of sharks around. Galapagos, silver tips, few hammer heads, some silkies and big tuna. Guests were impressed by the size of the yellowfish tuna. School of bonito as well. Second Dive – Two groups were able to see the school of hammerheads. Large school of yellowfin tuna in all sizes. white tips, silver tips, mobula ray and on both dives great numbers of jacks.
