Captain’s Noon Report – Explorer – 2019-03-08

Location: Roca Partida
Weather: winds 8-12m seas 1-2, swell NNW 4-5
Status: Anchored at Roca Partida

On the first dive we had tons of dolphins, yellowfin tuna, and one group saw a school of 150 hammerheads. The current was very very strong on the first dive. On dive two the current calmed down a bit. Everyone saw a lot of tuna, a few hammerheads, and white tips. Everyone is having a good time. Yesterday afternoon we dove at Old Man in the Rocks. As we were anchoring we had a mother and calf humpbacks surface about 100 ft away. Unfortunately they did not stick around for the dive. Stay tuned for more updates.
